The Chamber of International Lawyers is pleased to sponsor the seminar organised as part of the iCare2 project, dedicated to cross-border family mediation and the protection of the best interests of the child.
The event, scheduled for 8 May 2026 in Florence at Villa Ruspoli, will take place from 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm and will be attended by national and international experts and professionals in the field.
Topics to be covered include: hearing the views of the child in European cross-border proceedings, child-inclusive mediation, specialist training for international family mediators, the methodology of mediation in the best interests of the child, the experience of pre-mediation in Italy, and the cross-border effectiveness of mediation agreements.
The proceedings will be moderated by Maria Silvia Agatau, Solicitor, and introduced by Dr Gabriella Gallizia of Defence for Children International Italy. Speakers will include, amongst others, keynote speaker Dr Lisa Parkinson, a family mediation trainer and consultant from the United Kingdom, and lecturers from the Universities of Florence, Ferrara and San Raffaele in Rome.
The event is open to all interested professionals.
