The Italian Court of Cassation, in its Order No. 12892/23, published on 11 May 2023, confirmed that, by virtue of Article 67(2) of the Agreement on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the European Union, the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 1215/2012 still apply to the stage of recognition and enforcement of judgments given in the United Kingdom as a result of proceedings commenced before the end of the transitional period on 31 December 2020.
